A coach is a member of staff who has the job of training and developing players to help them improve. They are very important in any club; without them, players cannot improve.

Important AttributesEdit

Main article: Staff Attributes

Coaches have five important attribute that affect how well players at the club they coach at improve.

Coaching Goalkeepers (Cgk)Edit

This affects how much the coach knows about how to train goalkeepers well. Clubs with coaches that have a high rating in this will see their goalkeepers improve better. A coach does not need a high rating in this to be a good coach as long as he has a high rating in Coaching Outfield.

Coaching Outfielders (Coa)Edit

This affects how much the coach knows about coaching outfield players well. Clubs with coaches that have a high rating in this will see their outfield players improve better. A coach does not need to have a high rating in this to be a good coach as long as he has a high rating in Coaching Goalkeepers,

Coaching Youth Team (Yth)Edit

This affects how well a coach trains young players and the youth team. Clubs with coaches that have a high rating in this will see their young players develop quicker. Conversely, clubs without good coaches in this will see their youth players take longer to develop (sometimes failing to reach their Potential Ability), even if their coaches have high ratings in Coaching Outfield and Goalkeepers.

Motivating (Mot)Edit

Coaches need to be able to motivate the players they train, otherwise they won't work as hard. Coaches should always have a high rating in Motivating, as it means all players will develop better.

Strictness (Stc)Edit

Coaches need to be quite strict or players will slack off more, especially if they have low work-rate attributes. Less strict coaches may make players not develop as quick, even if their other coahing attributes are higher.
